About Us...

What
was the Store Concept?
bouncing wall was a Seattle retail
boutique and gallery nestled in upper Queen Anne that supported over 100 local
artists & designers and showcases their original, wearable, usable, and
functional art from 2006 - 2009.
We are now an online boutique and gallery
still supporting over 100 local artists and designer. We make conscience shopping easy for our
customers by supporting those who create products using eco-friendly materials,
reclaiming, recycling, and re-engineering is a way of life, and those who adhere
to the global fair trade standards. Think global, support local!
Why is it Called Bouncing Wall?
bouncing wall is what my friends
call a "Kimism". I habitually say the common colloquialisms
incorrectly and bouncing wall came about when I was trying to
say...sounding board. What can I say? It made sense to me, you
"bounce" off ideas and you bounce things like racket ball, or pong...off of a
wall.
What's Kim All About?
I am an artist, a wife, a mother, a crafter, a friend, a sister, a “bring it
girl”, a business owner, highly energetic, often serious yet a total goof.
Sounds manic? Well here’s more! Above all, I’m someone who absolutely loves a
creative mind, an artistic eye, and a wicked sense of style…in whatever form.
I love owning Bouncing Wall Boutique & Gallery.
It has been a fantastic way to combine my artistic and business backgrounds, and
connect with awesome local creators.
See why in the three year
of the owning the physical shop, we’ve been honored with “Best Shops” for 2007 and 2008 in the
Seattle Magazine, People’s Choice finalist in two categories in NWSource.com in
2007, and just recently voted #3 Gift Shop in the Best of Western Washington by
King 5 Evening Magazine. I look forward to hearing from you!
